The detention page describes clergy and attorney approval visits Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and telephone, video, and text hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. These are facility communication hours, not records-office hours or booking-feed hours. Choose the Right Records Path
Use the agency that made or holds the record. A police report, county booking sheet, court docket, state corrections profile, and federal custody result are separate records.
- For a booking photo, booking sheet, custody confirmation, bond, or release/transfer detail, contact the Chowan Sheriff’s Office and identify the person and date.
- For an Edenton Police report or town-held photograph, use the Town of Edenton public-records portal or ask Rachel Cade at 252-482-5144 extension 102.

Make a Narrow Request
Give the custodian the person’s recorded name, arresting agency, booking or incident date, and exact record type. Ask for an existing releasable booking sheet, charge wording, bond, release or transfer information, or photo. Ask about any actual reproduction cost and expected response time. North Carolina law may allow redaction or withholding, and no Chowan fee schedule or fixed response deadline was located.
